These are the mantras that Ariel lives by and they are manifested in her dance instruction and choreography and in her approach to physical fitness and well being. Currently, Ariel is a certified personal trainer with specializations in functional strength training and women’s fitness. She also teaches weekly Hip Hop dance classes and is a dancer/performer in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Hip Hop Grooves for Beginners

For the first half of class Ariel breaks down Hip Hop grooves that are the foundation blocks to Hip Hop and Urban dance styles. Repetition makes this class perfect for novices. The second half of class is spent learning basic choreography inspired by the first portion of class.

Intermediate/Advanced Hip Hop Choreography
Mondays @ 7pm (75 minutes)
Take it up a notch and hone in on the intricacies of Hip Hop choreography and musicality. One choreography piece is taught over two weeks, meaning multiple chances to learn! Didn’t make the first class? Ariel will always break it down from the beginning!
Ariel’s style is a mix of intricate details contrasted with fluid grooves, sex appeal, and hard hitting movements.

In addition to her PT certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Ariel also has a Pain Performance Specialist Certification (PPSC). Her specialities include Functional Strength Training, Women’s Fitness, Balance, Flexibility, and HIIT.

Movement has been a part of Ariel’s life since she was very young. She was a gymnast from ages 5-12 and began dancing shortly after, taking her first Hip Hop dance class at her middle school in Berkeley, CA. Dance became a release and an outlet to express

Ariel has taught dance and movement to a wide variety of demographics, from 18 months to 80 years old. Notably, she has worked as a teaching artist in public schools, teaching Hip Hop history, fundamentals and choreography through a social justice lens.
